Robert Hensley is my Uncle Bob, brother to my mother and the two of them were close all of their lives. I had posted earlier but it didn't take for some reason.
Uncle Bob was a WWII veteran who survived Iwo Jima. He was interviewed a few years ago by an Eagle Scout and the interview was recorded to a DVD. This DVD was sent to the Library of Congress for history to remember. Uncle Bob had a charm and charisma that we all admired and the looks that the ladies admired. He tried his had at many business adventures and was an avid dog lover.
We pray that he is now with his sister, my mother and we miss them.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Robert Hensley. I got to know him while he resided at Winters Park. Robert was a delightful man to talk with. And he had the utmost devotion to his wife Jeannie.

He and Jeannie attended our Saturday bingo at Winters. Robert always wanted to win a prize for his wife. She was his happiness!!

Robert always brought Jeannie to our nail night when she wanted to get her nails done. He would sit patiently waiting till she was finished and escort her back to her room.

And he was a man who could make a bed without a single wrinkle! He made Jeannie's bed all the time and it was perfectly done.

Robert is missed at Winters, by many of us. I was blessed to have had the chance to get to know him.

We have many happy memories of Robert.
