Robert Clarence (Buddy) Underwood was born March 2, 1924, in Nocona, Texas, passed away July 13, 2011, after a brief illness. He was an army veteran, serving in the Pacific during WW II. Worked for many years for the City of Dallas driving a maintainer first in the Streets and Public Works Department and then later in the Sanitation Department before retiring. Always willing to help out he spent much of his time after retirement visiting and encouraging people at the Christian Care Center. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for all of his adult life. Buddy is survived by his wife, Martha Underwood; son, Chuck Underwood; brother, James Underwood (wife Dolores); sisters-in-law, Opal Swindell and Iva Tibbles (husband Walt); and many, many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation at 9:00am Friday, July 15, 2011, followed by the funeral at 11:00am at the Christian Care Center Church of Christ.
