Roberta May Stanley

Roberta May Stanley,77, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Tuesday February 27, 2018. She was born March 13,1940 in Marietta, Oklahoma to Luther and Lucille Herring. Roberta prided herself as being the first female custodian for the Dallas Independent School District in 1972 and then went on to be a Nurse Aid at Seagoville Manor where she retired. She enjoyed painting, coloring, fishing, bible studies at home and playing guitar with her grandsons. Roberta is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hayes, Sr; children, Danny Ray Bennett, Teresa Lynn Green and Leona Lynn Coffel; parents, Luther and Lucille Herring; brother, Robert Herring, Jimmy Herring, William Herring, Carol Gene Herring, Gene Herring, Jerry Don Herring, Buddy Herring; sisters, Almeta Cullefer. Lois Marie Buchanan. She is survived by children, Sharon Hackett and husband, Robert, Bobbie Gonzales and husband, Jason, Charles Hayes and wife, Paula and Ruby Coffel; sister, Virginia Shipman; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Roberta will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Grove Hill Funeral Home.
