My Dad, Rodney G. Parr, left this earth in the arms of Angels on the morning of September 29, 2010. The best dad to Steven and Susan Parr and for 47 years, the most wonderful husband to Mary Delora Henegar-Parr. Loved by many. Respected by all. Dad was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Emma Fisher-Parr and T.G. Parr and his sister Linda Gail Small. Born in Mexia, Texas on May 19, 1938 and raised in New London. My dad lived until 72. He will be sorely missed by his brothers O.C. and Tom Parr, many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. My dad went All-American in football at TJC in Tyler, Texas and played for the SMU Mustangs. He worked for Bear Brand Hosiery and in Motor Home sales. He was the sweetest, most giving and very special person who will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him. He is with the Lord now, after fighting to live for 31 days in ICU. Good night, daddy. Thank you for all you taught me. Rest now in peace. Your strength will lead us on.
