Roe Ann Shands June 25, 1917-March 23, 2010. Preceded in death by her husband, P.C. Shands, Jr. Survived by her children; C.L. Shands, SaraLu Shands Armstrong, grandsons; David and Clint Armstrong, granddaughters; Shara Armstrong Phillips, Leigh Ann Shands Tyler, Allison Shands Warren, and great-grandsons; Jess Armstrong, Jamie and Seth Phillips, Ethan Tyler and great-granddaughter Kiannna Phillips. Mrs. Shands was a charter member of Mesquite Chapter 887 OES. She served two years as Mother Advisor of Mesquite Assembly 268 ORG and two years as Grand Visitor for the Grand Assembly of Texas ORG. Mrs. Shands will be in state Friday, March, 26 until 7:00 p.m. at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
