Rogelio Cruz, 72, of Dallas, TX passed away on July 25, 2020 in Dallas, TX. Rogelio Cruz was born in Villa Juarez, S.L.P. Mexico on October 31, 1947. He married Maria J. Cruz on October 9, 1982 in Dallas, TX. He worked as a building caretaker for Park Cities Baptist Church for 34 years before retiring in 2015. He was involved in the DMABL league and as a park ambassador for the baseball program in Villa Juarez, S.L.P. Rogelio Cruz loved the game of baseball and would spend countless years on the baseball field with friends, family and his children. He was happiest when he was on the field and when spending time with his family.

Rogelio Cruz is preceded in death by his son Joel Cruz, mother Maria Torres, father Pablo Cruz and grandson Nathan.

Rogelio is survived by his wife Maria J. Cruz and sons Saul Cruz, Eloy Cruz, Rogelio Cruz, Jr., Miguel Cruz and Ivan Cruz. He is also survived by his siblings Juan, Guadalupe, Amalia, Rosa, Artemia, Bertha, Francisca, Leticia and Blanca. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Juanita, sister-in-law Edith and brother-in-laws Hilario, Enrique and Jacinto. He is also survived by his grandchildren Janely Cruz, Jayden Cruz and Ethan Cruz.

Pallbearers will be his son’s Saul Cruz, Eloy Cruz, Rogelio Cruz, Jr., Miguel Cruz and Ivan Cruz.

The family of Rogelio Cruz wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all our family and friends, Santa Clara of Assisi Catholic Church, Park Cities Baptist Church and all the baseball players and coaches that he played with and coached throughout the years for the game that he loved.

Rogelio Cruz, 72, de Dallas, TX falleció el 25 de julio de 2020 en Dallas, TX. Rogelio Cruz nació en Villa Juarez, S.L.P. México el 31 de octubre de 1947. Se casó con María J. Cruz el 9 de octubre de 1982 en Dallas, TX. Trabajó en mantenimiento para la Iglesia Bautista de Park Cities durante 34 años antes de retirarse en 2015. Le sobreviven sus hermanos Juan, Guadalupe, Amalia, Rosa, Artemia, Bertha, Francisca, Leticia y Blanca. Le sobreviven su nuera Juanita, cunada Edith y cunados Hilario, Enrique y Jacinto. Le sobreviven sus nietos Janely Cruz, Jayden Cruz y Ethan Cruz.

My dearest friend, I am saddened by the news of your passing but know you are with our Lord and Savior.
