

Roger John Bresnahan, 78, of Farmers Branch, Texas passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 22, 2017, with family by his side. He was born to Adelaide and John J. Bresnahan in Nutley, NJ in 1938. Roger is survived by his beautiful wife Jean "Sandy" of 55 years, "the girls” daughters Nancy Kopplin (John) of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Morrow (Jeff) of Phoenix, AZ, and Sally Clausen (Kenny) of Carrollton, TX, and his 7 loving grandchildren (Kimberly, Joe, and Kristen Kopplin, Nicholas Morrow, and Claire, Christopher, and Michael Clausen) whom he adored. He is also survived by his sister Trish Parisi (Jerry) of Nutley, NJ, his brother Tom Bresnahan (Sandy) of Torrance, CA, and his cousin and dear friend Dave Manning (Kathy) of Franklin, NJ. He was predeceased by his mother, father, and brother John Bresnahan (Karen) of Nutley, NJ.
Roger started his working career at Hoffmann-La Roche in Nutley, NJ, before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps for 3 years. When he returned from service, he married his backyard neighbor and the love of his life, Jean "Sandy", in 1961. At the dawn of commercial air travel in the 60’s, he joined TWA where he worked as a sales rep/manager for 36 years, traveling all over the U.S. and taking groups to Europe, Egypt, and Israel. Roger and Sandy raised three daughters who were his pride and joy. He was a good man with a big heart. He had lots of interests including playing softball and golf, working out, home improvement, woodworking, gardening, and fishing. He loved God and was an avid Yankee fan. In retirement, he loved being a marshal and starter at Prestonwood Country Club and spending time with family, grandchildren, and friends.
Visitation will be from 5PM to 8PM with a prayer vigil at 6:30pm at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home (7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas TX) on Wednesday March 1, 2017. Funeral service for Roger will be at Christ the King Catholic Church (8017 Preston Rd Dallas TX 752250) at 10AM on Thursday, March 2, 2017. A reception will follow at the parish center. Memorial donations may be made to American Kidney Fund or the American Heart Association.
