She married Manuel R. Perez in 1954 and the couple had six children. She was a devoted housemaker and ran a small school kitchen at John XXIII Elementary.
In her spare time, Romana enjoyed church activities like being a Sunday school teacher after her children were grown up. She also liked cooking and was an excellent cook. She listened to music and talk shows on the radio and loved watching pro golf. Romana also took pride in her yard and garden, especially, her roses.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a long time Oak Cliff resident, since 1961, a person of faith and a wonderful wife to her husband of 58 years.
Her children's most treasured memories are from their childhood. Even though money was tight, they never went hungry and were never mistreated. Romana showed her loved by providing for her children, when their shoes or clothing were worn out, she would take them to the store or make them clothing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel R. Perez and grandchild, Elicia.
Survived by: six children, Mario, Jose, Susana, Mike, Lucila and Luciada; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
