Rommel was born in Dallas on November 21, 1981, to Elsa Sorto. He graduated from W. H. Adamson High School and continued to receive a bachelor’s from University of Texas at Arlington.
Rommel worked as a Sr. Fraud Investigator for Mr. Cooper and Rocket Mortgage for 13 years. He enjoyed all sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He was also actively involved in his children’s extracurricular activities.
Rommel is survived by his wife Olga, children Valerie, Gabriel, and Noemi, grandchildren Liliana and Elliot, mother Elsa, brothers Vicente, John, Tony, Eric and the Benitez family.
Visitation will be held at Centro Church from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 11th, 2026. Service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. at Calvary Hill North Chapel with Jose Pleites officiating. Committal will follow at Calvary Hill Garden of Resurrection at 12 p.m.
