Ronald Smith

Ron was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on November 28, 1945 to Wilson and Nora Smith.

After growing up in Seattle, WA, he earned an Electrical Engineering Degree from The University of Alabama, graduating in 1968.

Ron had a distinguished career working for Texas Instruments on a variety of projects that led to the advancement of technologies still in use today. Notably, he received four patents for designs he developed during his time there.

Following his retirement, Ron earned a Master of Arts degree in Media and Communications from Dallas Theological Seminary. Throughout retirement Ron took great pride in the work he did helping to renovate houses, enjoyed pursuing his hobbies in cars and genealogy, and most of all, enjoyed keeping up with the current happenings of his grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his sons Jeff Smith of St. Louis, MO; Paul Smith of Riverton, WY; his daughter, Holly Webster of Dallas, TX; his brother, Gary Smith of Ravensdale, WA; as well as his grandchildren Ben and Jake Webster of Dallas, TX, and Nora and Josi Smith of Riverton, WY.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Nora Smith.
