Ron Wolff, age 82, passed away peacefully in the afternoon of September 15, 2020, in Plano, Texas, with his wife, son and daughter by his side. For 23 years, Ron battled cancer courageously and with amazing dignity.
In 1937, Ron was born in Kilgore, Texas, to Eva and Isaac Wolff. Ron lived in Kilgore until he attended college at Texas Tech University. After two years, Ron transferred to the University of Houston where he met his wife, Elaine Bromberg Wolff. Ron and Elaine were married for 60 wonderful years.
After many successful years in the tile and marble industry, Ron started his business providing fireplace systems for new and existing construction. Ron loved his fireplace company, as it allowed him to combine his love for construction projects and building relationships.
Ron’s greatest success, however, was his generous spirit and kind heart. Ron was always thrilled to meet someone new or help someone in need. Ron enjoyed volunteering at Temple Shalom where he and his wife were founding members.
Ron is survived by his wife Elaine; their daughter Shawn Wolff and her partner Warren Adler; their son Blake Wolff, his wife Michele, along with their two sons, Jared and Ethan. Ron is also survived by his younger sister Carol Tobias, her husband Larry and her son Brian Rieter. In lieu of flowers, please donate in loving memory of Ron to the Temple Shalom Brotherhood at templeshalomdallas.org.
