Rosa also known as Rossy or Rosie to many, was born on August 14, 1967 in Bustamante, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. After relocating to Dallas, Texas and renting different apartments and houses, she and her family found their forever home in Casa View, where she spent her days creating and nurturing a lovely place to live. In her lifetime on Earth she enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts, getting dressed up, going out to eat and trying new foods, watching novelas and a variety of sports including soccer, baseball and race car driving, taking care of her plants, and catching a beautiful moon set in the night sky. She also very much enjoyed shopping and did not discriminate where, whether it was garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets, or department stores, she was sure to find something to buy. Working as a housekeeper for many years, she took great pride in helping people clean and care for their well-loved homes.
Rossy is preceded in death by her mother Guadalupe Villa and her father Juan Antonio Alejandro; her sisters San Juanita, Lupe, and Dora; and her brother Sergio.
Rossy is survived by her husband, Jose Martinez, her son, Antonio Martinez, her daughter, Mayra Martinez and her son-in-law, Mack Dafoe; her sisters, Maria, Beatriz, Alejandrina, Nivier, and Cindy; her brother Toño; many loving nieces and nephews, extended family members, co-workers, and numerous friends who brought joy and companionship to her life.
Rossy’s faith in God, love, and strength will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Rossy will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary happening from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
