

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosalie Chavez Rogers, a beloved 84 year-old Mother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Aunt, who departed this world on August 23, 2023. She left a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to have known her, and her memory will forever be cherished.
Born on September 22, 1938, Rosalie brought immense joy and warmth into the lives of her family and friends. She was known for her qualities, passions, and achievements, which inspired all those around her to strive for excellence and embrace the beauty of life.
Rosalie's legacy lives on through her family members and close friends, who remember her as a kind, compassionate, vibrant individual. She touched the lives of countless people and animals with her kindness and generosity. Her dedication to her family and friends was truly commendable and serves as an example for us all. Rosalie was also dedicated to her faith, the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, TX, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Dallas, TX.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Rosalie found solace in spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, friends and neighbors, gardening and taking care of her beloved pets and the animals in the wild. She loved sewing, reading, crossword puzzles, arts and crafts, traveling, being out in nature and often shared these passions with friends or family. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and she created many lasting memories during these cherished times.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her former Spouse Harold Eugene Rogers, Parents Pedro Villa Chavez and Ageda Guevara Chavez, Sister Rachel Hughes Chavez, Brother Pedro Gustavo Chavez, Sister Dolores Chavez, Brother Carlos J. Chavez, Daughter Angela Kay Rogers, Sister In-Law Janice Chavez, Brother In-Law Daniel Ortiz Gonzales, Nephew Christopher Gonzales, Brother In-Law Vyron Hughes, Nephew Peter Shannon Hughes, Nephew Tony DeCosta, and Nephew Brian DeCosta.

While her physical presence is no longer with us, the lessons she imparted and the love she shared will continue to guide and comfort us through the days ahead.
A memorial service to honor Rosalie’s life will be held on August 31, 2023, 12PM – 2PM visitation, 2PM-3PM Catholic Mass in the North Chapel, 3PM-3:30PM interment at Calvary Hill gravesite, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects. As we mourn the loss of Rosalie, let us also celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives.
