Our Rose has become an Angel.
Rose Lee Alexander passed away peacefully surrounded by her four daughters on January 14. She was the daughter of Moses Ballas and Rivkah Levy Ballas. She lived her life with grace, strength, beauty and elegance. Her love for color, travel, flowers, design, beauty and cooking created a legacy that lives on through her family. Born on October 24, 1925, our precious Rose found great joy in her family, daughters Sonja Bingham (Jim), Jacqueline Glauberman (Allan), Helen Kitti Smith and Susan Levi (Nisso); Loving Grandmother to Brittany (Chris), Zachary, Leila, Lara and Vittorio Lino; beloved Aunt and Friend.
She married Dr. Sydnie G. Smith, father of her daughters, and later, Robert E. Alexander, Jr., with whom she lived in Mexico, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Dallas. She was grateful for the love and care given to her by Helen Gaona and Nettie Webb. Her ‘joie de vivre’ remains with all those whose lives she blessed.
