She was born in Dallas, TX, on December 4, 1933 to the late Gracie Mae and Everett Sparkman. Rose Ann graduated from Adamson High School in 1951. She married her beloved high school sweetheart, Billy Jack Glascock, Sr. on September 7, 1951. They were married for 48 years.
Rose Ann and her husband were lifelong members of First Baptist Church Dallas until her husband’s passing. They were faithful listeners and supporters of KCBI, and supporters of Dallas Theological Seminary and Southwestern Seminary, and were recipients of the B. H. Carroll Founders Award in 1999. Rose Ann was an accomplished cook, winning numerous ribbons over several years while competing at the State Fair of Texas. She was a homemaker, loving wife, devoted mother, counselor and friend to many. She loved to travel and lived in many places around the world. She was a fervent reader who enjoyed reading her favorite book, The Bible, which she read in its entirety at least 15 times throughout her life. She was dedicated to Jesus Christ in whose presence she now resides.
Rose Ann is survived by her three children, Ann Denice Button, of Canton, NY and Billy Jack Glascock, Jr., of Kingston, OK and Dr. Jan Glascock West, of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home (Dallas) at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 1. The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, with the burial immediately following.
