Rose Marie Avery
August 15, 1930 – April 3, 2018
Rose Marie Avery (87) went to eternal rest in heaven on April 3, 2018 with her family by her side after a brief sudden illness. Rose Marie was born on August 15, 1930 in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1947. She married Richard John Avery, Jr. on January 21, 1950. They were together for 60 years and raised eight children. Rose Marie managed the Avery Air Conditioning and Heating Company for over 30 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents Joseph and Margaret Neuhauser, brothers Joseph and Frank Neuhauser, sister Margaret Nigiliazzo, granddaughter Erica Avery and grandson J. R. Wallace. Rose Marie’s outstanding Catholic faith, dedication to her family, and service to her community defined her life. She was the epitome of southern hospitality and grace. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her eight children: Christine Harrell, Cathy Tipton Beck, Richard Avery (PJ) Patricia Calvillo (Oscar), Kenneth Avery (Janice), Thomas Avery (Debbie), Teresa Avery (Charles Dean) and Alan Avery. She is survived by 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Friday, April 6 at 10:30 am. Mrs Avery had sat next to me at the 7:30 am Mass at St Thomas Aquinas for the past 10 years plus! I will miss our conversation after mass as we walked to our cars discussing what we have planned for the upcoming week. We would always say to each other “well ok see you next Sunday and have a great week”!
My many memories are when I was a child I could always walk thru the alley and be able to knock on the door and ask if the girls could come out and play....she always had that open door for me.
I will miss this special lady just as much as I miss my own mother (Bessie Petr).
May Rose Marie Avery Rest In Peace with our Lord and Savior and be so happy to be reunited with her loving Husband Dick Avery !!
