

She was preceded in death by her parents Pat Norris and Duke Huggins, brother Don Huggins, Husband Odell Hensley, and son Dale Hensley.
Rose was born January 2, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Clara (Pat) and Duke Huggins. She attended Sunset High School, where she participated on the girl softball team as a catcher. She married Glennon Odell Hensley in 1949. They had 4 children and Rose was very active in their lives. She was a Boy Scout Leader and worked with the Camp Fire Girls. Rose started to work at D&D’s Restaurant on East Grand as a carhop. She then owned and operated Libby’s Lounge for over 30 years. They live in Pleasant Grove for over 50 years. Rose has lived in Kaufman for the last 10 years. She loved to travel and would go anywhere, anytime with anybody just say “Let’s Go”. She had very unique sense of humor. One of Rose’s biggest achievement, was she was a 20 year breast cancer survivor.
Rose is survived by her brother Bobby Jack Huggins and wife Sylvia of Lulkin, son Robert Hensley and wife Vickie, of Dallas, daughters Brenda Kearby and husband Don, of Kaufman, Landa Whitney and husband Robert of Dallas. Seven grandchildren: Candy, Charlie, and Jeff Whitney, Jason and Duane Kearby and Nicole and Jeremy Hensley. Six great-grandchildren: Rebecca Kearby, Abigail and Aurbey Vargas, Kalynn and Jaxson Hensley, Dylan Davis, and several nieces, and nephews.
