

Rosie Gray started her journey November 12, 1952. She was the 1st born out of 5 siblings to Moses Chester Gray, Sr. and Gloria (Medlock) Gray. She attended George Washington Carver Elementary, Sequoia Jr. High, L.G. Pinkston High School her freshman year and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1971.
Rosie was introduced to Christ at a young age. She was baptized as a youth at Rising Star Baptist Church. The family later moved there membership to New Birth Baptist Church in 1968 under the guidance of Pastor George W. Pryor where all the siblings were a part of the 1st junior usher board and choir. Rosie was recognized as a Legendary Woman of New Birth Baptist Church in 2014 and also received other accolades as a member of the choir. Rosie stayed an active part of the New Birth Baptist Church throughout her journey.
Rosie worked at Frito Lay right out of High School and with her Aunt Juanita Craft (former Dallas City Council Woman) on her campaign. She had her 1st born Christopher Gray in 1973. Rosie was very smart. Being left handed, she taught herself short hand from a record player which landed her a job with the City of Dallas. Rosie met her husband Thomas Fayson in 1979 and moved to Pompano Beach, Florida and from this union Talia Fayson was born in 1981. Rosie and family would later transition back to Dallas, Texas. Rosie Fayson would pursue her Bachelors of Business from Northwood University where she graduated in 2002 Magna Cum Laude. Her career in banking started with Republic Bank and her banking career would last over 30 years. She retired as Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager with Comerica Bank in 2016.
Rosie Fayson was a God fearing woman that would always say no matter what the circumstances pray and God will answer. She was a born leader and always told it like it is. She battled like a champ with Congestive Heart Failure for some years. God brought her to her eternal resting place and said, “Good and faithful servant, your job is done” on December 26, 2022 at 5:50am surrounded by her family with Love.
Those preceding her in Death: Gloria Gray (Mother), Moses Chester Gray, Sr. (Father), Thomas Fayson (Husband) and Eryn Leslee Fayson (Grand Daughter). Those left to cherish her memories: Chris Fayson (Son) Erica Fayson (Daughter in Law), Talia Anthony (Daughter) Antonio Ray Anthony, Jr. (Son in Law), Crislyn Fayson (Grand Daughter), Antwone Anthony, (Grandson), Kay Johnson, Margie Stephens, Casandra Wesley and Moses Gray Jr. (siblings), Gary Wesley and Willie Stephens (Brother In Laws), Brenda Billingsley (Best Friend) and her loving aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
