Rosie Lea Patrick Foxx Lamar was born in Hunter, Arkansas on February 11, 1928 to parents Willie Winton and Edith Mae Daniel Patrick. She passed away on February 3, 2017 in Desoto, Texas. Rosie attended school at Rabbit Ridge and Hillemann, and also Draughon School of Business. She worked as a Librarian, and she also worked at the Dallas County Tax Office. Rosie enjoyed spending time with her family, studying genealogy, sewing, gardening and playing with her pets. She went on several genealogy research trips to Utah, Kentucky, and many other places. Rosie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Clifton Lamar, parents, siblings James Albert Patrick, Willie J. Patrick, and Lonnie Franklin Patrick. She is survived by her son Gary Foxx and wife Glenda; grandchildren Justin Foxx Sr., Kristie Gibson and husband Michael; great grandchildren Justin P. Foxx Jr., and Colton P. Foxx; sister Shirley Ann Bisbee, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Grove Hill Funeral Home at 2:00pm with burial to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
