Roy Howard Wilson, 82, of Dallas, Texas, was born February 28, 1940 in Waco, Texas, to John Roy Wilson Jr. and Lilly Ruth Short Wilson. He passed away June 23, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. He married his dear wife, June Teague Wilson, on April 6, 1978 in Dallas, Texas. He was fond of sharing the length of his and June’s marriage with family, friends, and strangers alike, from the year, month, and day down to the hour. He was the owner of Wilson Commercial, Inc. and Amore Restaurant in University Park, and former co-owner, along with his parents, of Wintergarden Ballroom, the second-largest ballroom in the United States at the time. He regularly attended First Baptist Dallas with his wife, June, and built and designed his home of over twenty-five years. He enjoyed boating, meeting new people, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Wilson and Ruth Wilson, and his daughter Laura Ruth Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, June Teague Wilson of Dallas, Texas; children, Janet Easley, Christi Wilson Fager and husband Terry, and Lisa Wilson Teague; sister, Wanda Hickman and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Rob Easley, Marti Easley, Amanda Wilson, Dani Waldorf and husband Travis, Violet Goforth and husband Matthew, Jacquelyn Faulkenbery and husband Cameron, Valerie Fager, Shannon Fager, and Nicholas Pellham; and great-grandchildren, Malaky, Kinzie, Finley, Kaprin, and Sebastian.
