Mr. Roys Don Garrett -- 3/25/1937 - 5/6/2019

Don Garrett, age 82, passed away May 6, 2019. He was born March 25, 1937. Don will be best remembered for his love, dedication to friends and family, and his kind heart. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a gentle soul, soft spoken, and kind to all.

Don is survived by three daughters and son-in-laws: Debra and Steve Stinson, Denise and Chuck Mathews, and Leslie and Jim Coke; his sister Martha Monroe; grandchildren: Zach Mathews and wife Jackie, Brandon Mathews and wife Brittney, Reagan Stinson, Carlee Stinson, Jordan Coke, and Nikki Coke; and 6 great grandchildren. Don was proceded in death by the love of his life Anita Garrett after a marriage of 58 years; his parents, Alfred Sidney and Ella Pearl Garrett, and 12 brothers and sisters.

Don was a role model, great friend and deeply loved. The impact his love, commitment, humility and devotion to family and friends will live on in those who had the good fortune to know him throughout his exemplary life. The world was a better place when Don was living and will continue to be a better place reflected in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
