A man of many talents, Ruben worked at Dal-Tec Optical and Bruce Terminix. He served as an orderly at
a nursing home and as a property manager for Furr Rental Properties. His real talent was as a skillful
self-employed painter. He was often seen in his painters uniform splattered with the day’s work and proud
of the job he had just finished.
As a young handsome man he loved to dance to his favorite polkas and enjoyed listening to music. His
motto for life was dancing, singing and making everyone laugh. He was always available to attend the
parties and weddings to enjoy family and friends no matter the occasion.
When Ruben entered a room, his larger than life stature was only exceeded by his huge heart. When he
wore his legendary cowboy hat, he commanded the room. He also gave the best hugs and had a laugh
that could make the whole room smile. His love of laughter was only exceeded by his generosity.
Unknown to many, he was always helping the homeless with meals, donations and shelter. Ruben
enjoyed spending his mornings at McDonald’s for breakfast, coffee and good conversation amongst his
friends.
Ruben’s number one priority was the love of his life, Ana and his vast, immediate and extended family.
Ruben was a man of character, integrity, and was extremely sentimental. He loved and knew the Lord
and was not ashamed to call on him when needed.
Lovingly known as Honey, Daddy, Grandpa, Brother, Tio Ruben, Compadre, Big Worm, RV and friend, he
will be immensely missed by all. Even though our hearts are breaking, we have the blessed assurance
through our faith in Jesus Christ that we will meet again.
The Villanueva Family would like to thank all family and friends for their outpouring of love and support in
our difficult time.
2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of
you.
