Ruby E. Marr Clark departed this life January 5, 2016. She was born February 24, 1917, in Pittsburgh, Texas, to parents Watkin and Eula Mae Marr, and grew up on a farm in East Texas . After marrying and becoming a mother, she moved to Dallas, where she lived the rest of her life. She worked several years in the purchasing department at Southwestern Medical School, adjacent to Parkland Hospital. She was at work the day President John F. Kennedy was shot and was brought to the emergency room there. She saw much excitement at that time, and subsequently enjoyed seeing Governor Connelly when he returned for checkups for the injuries he suffered that day. Later, she became the Purchasing Agent for Owen Laboratories , where she worked for many years until her retirement. Ruby enjoyed family and friends and worshipped at The Heights Baptist Church, where she participated in various activities. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Ruby had two children, Suzanne Buechner and Douglas Clark, and three grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Heights Baptist Church, 201 W. Renner Rd, Richardson, TX 75080, for use in the senior adult ministry.
