Mrs. Ruby Rae Jackson departed this life and went to rest on Thursday, April 24, 2025. She was born to the parentage of Wilbert Williams Sr and Lucy Waters Williams on December 28, 1943, in Teague, Texas.
Ruby Rae accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Asia Primitive Baptist Church, of the Furney Richardson Community. Ruby Rae attended the Booker T. Washington High School and graduated in Teague, Texas.
On October 23, 1961, she was united in Holy matrimony to Army Staff Sgt. James Albert Jackson and James’s selfless sacrifice will always be remembered, May 21, 1967, in Vietnam. To this union two children were born Gary Andre Jackson and Brigitte Rae Jackson.
Ruby Rae was a dental hygienist, a devoted wife and mother who nurtured and maintained her family! She was affectionately known for her Thanksgiving dressing, peas, pies, cakes and filling her home with love for all who entered through the doors. She was devoted to her family, church, community and friends. She loved God. She had such a sweet spirit willing to do anything for anyone, especially preparing a meal.
On Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. an angel ushered Ruby Rae into the arms of the Lord. Ruby Rae is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Army Staff Sgt. James Albert Jackson, her siblings Louise Brown, Carolyn Rae Standmire, Patsy Sue Porter, Elsie Marie Nelms, Mary Louise King, Sally Wilson (Hesta), Luther Rae Reed, granddaughter, Kimoly Jackson (Kimo).
Those she left behind to cherish her precious memories are her devoted and loving, two sons Gary Andre Jackson (Dallas, Texas), Larry Jackson (South Carolina). two daughters, Brigitte Rae Jackson (Dallas, Texas) Cyntha McCray and (Samuel), Dallas, Texas, one brother, Wilbert Williams Jr (Houston, Texas), three sisters, Rose Mary Nemons (Teague, Texas), Patrica Howard (Dallas, Texas), and Margie Brown (Corpus Christi, Texas), one aunt, Bertha Mae Johnson, Fort Worth, Texas, grandchildren Brian Jackson, Tiffany McCray, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends.
