Ruth Collins, born in Magnolia, Arkansas on September 24, 1914, passed on May 9, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. Ruth enjoyed a long career selling furniture at Sanger-Harris for forty years. She is preceded in death by her husband, George D. Collins, two sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, and wonderful church friends, especially Juanita Nix. The family would like to thank Grace Presbyterian Village for the excellent care Ruth received. An open visitation will be at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Thursday, May 10th from 12:00-7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Restland Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at the Chapel at Grace Presbyterian Village. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ruth’s name to the Care Fund at Grace Presbyterian Village.
