Ruth Elaine Williams

Ruth “Elaine” (Lasater) Williams, 88, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026. She was born on November 11, 1937, in Heath, Texas, the daughter of John and Edna (Butler) Lasater. Elaine was the third of four children and shared a close and loving bond with her family.

After graduating from Rockwall High School, where she was an excellent student, cheerleader and basketball player, Elaine met and married Charles White of Sulphur Springs on June 15, 1956. They were married for 10 years and had three children before his death in a helicopter crash in 1966. Elaine married twice more, losing both husbands to illness. Elaine lived a life marked by faith, love, strength, and devotion to those around her.

Elaine will be remembered for her kindness, her generous spirit, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of her family and friends. Through the years, she shared wisdom, compassion, and unwavering support with those fortunate enough to know her. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and encouragement to countless people. But most of all, she will be remembered for her strong faith and love for her Lord. Elaine wanted everyone to know that Jesus loved them even more than she did, and her desire was for all of us to meet again in Heaven someday. She was a prayer warrior who started every day with a time of prayer and meditation.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna Lasater, her sisters Anna Vank and LaDelle Rutledge, her husbands Charles White, Delmar Harrell and Kenneth Williams and her son Ricky White.

She is survived by her brother, Gerald Lasater, her daughter, Carla White, her son, Donald White and wife Janice, 6 grandchildren – Kristy Cartwright (Phil), Brandon White, Mary White, Nicholas White (Christina), Brentley White (Maranda) and Charlie White (Courtney) and 16 great-grandchildren as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will always remember her fondly.

She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and enduring love that will continue to inspire future generations. Though she will be deeply missed, her influence and the values she embodied will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Family and friends mourn her passing while celebrating a life well lived. May her memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who loved her.

A visitation will be held at Calvary First Baptist Church, 2850 E Glen Blvd, Mesquite, TX 75181, US, on June 19, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on June 19, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Graveside service will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park, 5784 TX-154, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482, US, on June 19, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
