Ryan's impact to the Mechanical Engineering community of Purdue will not be forgotten. As a classmate and colleague, I feel honored to have known Ryan. Myself and the Frank family send our prayers.

Jack-I recall several of our conversations about Ryan's tennis while in China and then trading stories about our kids lives and college and career choices earlier this year. I was truly shocked and saddened when I heard the news that Ryan had passed away.  I had the privilege of working with Ryan as Professor/Adviser on his senior design project at Purdue.  Because Ryan was working on a unique design idea for his team, I spent lots of time one-on-one with him.  Ryan did some very special design work, and was very diligent and conscientious.  I always looked forward to meeting with him and we became good friends, more than just professor/student.  He was always up-beat and optimistic.  He was careful and thoughtful.  I am shocked and very sad at his passing, and I want you to know that he had a positive impact on me.  I pray for your comfort and peace at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Ryan's untimely passing. I am so grateful for the many years I was able to babysit the three of you (Evan, Ryan and Jenna). You are an amazing family. I will always remember him as such a sweet, kind, sporty boy. I pray that you may find comfort and peace in this time. I am deeply saddened by this news.  I knew Ryan so well, as his Academic Advisor in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University.  Ryan spent many hours in my office, working together on various events for Pi Tau.  It saddens my heart, again, to lose another ME student so young in life.
