

Sallie was born October 11,1946 in Mesquite, Texas. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Forney, Texas. After relocating to Dallas, Texas Sallie worked at Motorola before retiring in 2002.
Sallie became a member of Greater Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a nurse’s guild.
Sallie loved her children and her entire family, and we loved her immeasurably. Our family gatherings were not the same unless Sallie brought her famous macaroni and cheese...oh yes!
Sallie was preceded in death by her mother, Octavia Phillips and her father, Arthur Dewberry.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory and carry on her Legacy her two sons, Brian Baker and Francel Norah, Jr.; her daughter Sha-Tonga Norah; her granddaughters, Brandi Drisdale, Courtney Baker, Destini Norah; grandson, Christian Norah; sisters, Charlotte Jennings, Melinda Clayton, Veronica Phillips, Natavia Phillips and Elaine Hunt; brothers, Carl Phillips, Clarence Phillips, Arthur Dewberry, Jr., William Dewberry (Josephine) and Ronnie Dewberry; aunt, Gloria Wyatt and best friends, Shirley Allison and Charlotte Hayes, former spouse, Charles M. Singleton; as well as a large extended family of nieces and, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sallie loved God and she leaves a legacy of love and caring spirit for people. Our lives, her children and family are better because of her. Rest well, Sallie, we love you and we will miss you always. ❤️
