Sarah Whitaker Cast
September 22, 1941 – October 4, 2019
Sarah Whitaker Cast was born on September 22, 1941 in La Follette, TN. She passed away on Friday, October 4th in Dallas, TX. Sarah began her law enforcement career for the City of Seagoville, TX in 1984. During her tenure she obtained her Basic Peace Officer Certificate, Intermediate Peace Officer Certificate, Advanced Peace Officer Certificate and achieved the TCOLE Master Peace Officer Proficiency Certificate. In addition to police duties, she served as the Chief’s Administrative Assistant while also holding the positions of Dispatch Supervisor and Records Manager for many years. She held the rank of Sergeant upon her retirement in 2008. Sarah was very passionate and happiest when she was spending time with or doing things for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sarah had an infectious smile as well as a kind and compassionate spirit. She was a very generous woman and if you needed help she gave it to you. No questions asked. No hesitation. Using her no nonsense attitude she did what needed to be done. She also had a way of making you do things. She stated what she wanted done, you listened; you said yes ma’am and then you hopped to it!! Generally, you didn’t move fast enough to suit her but even then the reprimand was done in a kind joking manner. Her heart was bigger than the state of Texas and we will miss her dearly. Sarah was preceded in death by her first husband Jesse Whitaker; her son, David, her Parents (Ben and Dorothy Comer) and her sister, Elizabeth Wilson. Sarah is survived by her son, Randy Whitaker. Her current husband Dale Cast and his children: Laurie Weimer and her husband Bill; Jennifer Tucker and her husband Cole, Paul Cast, Robert Cast and his wife Melanie. Her sisters Effie Hooks and Kathy Kitts as well as the Comer brothers: Jerry, Ben, Hubert, Charles, Jesse, Kermit, Kenneth, and JW. Grandchildren include Brandi Elaine Whitaker and Randall Howard, Randall Scott Whitaker II, Audrea Michelle Slaughter, Chandler Whitlock, Holden Weimer, Madalyn Cast, Natalie Cast, and Makaylan Tucker. Great grandchildren include Ayden Scott McClain, Zachary Cole Howard, Jesse Jerome Howard, Noah Aaron Whitaker, Paxton Ray Whitaker, Sydney Ryann Slaughter, Logan Whitlock, Olive Whitlock, and Deklan Whitlock.

Gonna miss that laugh of hers when she thought something was really funny. She had a nononense attitude that fit right in with the family.
