Scotty and I met in high school, I was a few years younger than he was and thought it was so cool that he was interested in me. He was my first boyfriend. I remember going to his baseball games and spending a lot time at his house; I loved his family. Scotty gave me a gold necklace with the letter S on it for my 16th birthday. I wore it for years, even after we were no longer together. He was the sweetest guy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they deal with his passing. Having lost one of my sisters, I know the pain, but I also know the peace that comes from knowing that your loved one is no longer suffering, no longer broken.

Where do I start... so many memories growing up💕 He loved his family & called his Mom his hero. Scotty left us much to soon and will be missed but never forgotten.
Diabetes is hard to deal with but he put up a fight. I am Blessed to know Scotty is now with his earthly father & his heavenly Farher in heaven.
My Prayers are with the family as they go through the grieving process ... know Scotty is with you in memory & spirit . God will help you He is only a prayer away.... I Love you all very much (((hugs)))

Want to know a secret? When I first met Shelley, I had the biggest crush on Scotty and I didn't tell her or him or anyone else because I was embarrassed. C'mon it was her cousin and at that time I had never even kissed a boy! I thought he was so smart and very handsome! I got the butterflies everytime I saw him! However, when he was in Doctor's Hospital, my friend went to visit him and when he was awake I had her give him a sweet smooch on his forehead and tell him it was from Darbi. She said he liked it & smiled! ❤️ Be still my heart!
I hope that brought a smile to your face too for a second. I love y'all and will see y'all soon.

Scotty “Super” Hooper and I were best friends, if only for three years, in the 2nd 3rd and 4th grade at Casa View Elementary. We rode our bikes around east Dallas, stayed at each other’s house on weekend at end, and never lost a tussle with the neighborhood cronies! In the years that have passed I always wondered about Hooper and his loving mom who always made me feel like one of their own. The lava lamp in his front room was always a fond memory,. As a coach at Bryan Adams I wish I had been a better friend and made up for lost time.... I miss you Super Hooper, god speed!
