Selma Miriam (Michaelson) Landau of Dallas passed away on August 8, 2012. . Born June 13, 1924 in Dallas, Texas. She and her husband Willie owned and operated a department store in Colorado City, Texas for over 40 years. A graduate of Forest Avenue High School in Dallas, she was active in various civic organizations in Colorado City, was an avid bridge player and instructor, and most of all a wife, parent, grandparent, and great-grandparent who provided love, support, and guidance for her family. She was a member of Temple Emanuel. She is survived by son Lewis Jerald (Jerry); daughter and son-in-law Sandra Helene (Sandy) and Jeffrey Phillips; granddaughter Rhonda Elaine Ringler; granddaughter Rochelle Elise Hernandez and her husband Freddy; grandson Gregory Alan Phillips; great-grandsons Logan William and Landon Phillips; sister- and brother-in-laws Margie Landau, Thelma Heidenheimer, Doris and Lew Zale; and loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Jake and Dena Michaelson, and sister Gladys Abrams. The family wishes to express it's deep appreciation to Dr. Mark Fleschler for his care and support for Willie and Selma for over 30 years. Graveside services will be held at 10am on Friday August 10, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
