

Sharon Lee Lara was born May 15, 1932 in Sevierville County, Tennessee. Sharon and her family came to Dallas in 1947 and made their home in the Oak Cliff area. Sharon married John Lara in 1956 and traveled with John as a military wife. They returned to the Oak Cliff area in May of 1975 and began there life together in Dallas. Sharon passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years John F. Lara; daughter, Nancy Joy Lara; brother, Johnie C. Cruze and her parents. Sharon is survived by her loving family Manuel and Josie Alvarado of Dallas, Texas; sister in law, Mary Louise Cruze; nephew and family, David Allen Cruze and wife Missy and children: Cameron and Corie Cruze; niece and family, Cynthia Cruze and Husband Paul Medrano and children: Devin Lavin and Jordan Lavin all of San Antonio, Texas. She was a sweet lady who loved to cook and truly believed that she had to feed all her friends and family. She was the best cook ever. Sharon never met a stranger, she made friends and had great friends. This precious little woman will be missed and forever loved. She will continue to live in our hearts, smiles and our laughter. She will be with us on our best days and will help carry us on our worst days. We would like to thank each and everyone who loved our mom, sister and aunt. She was loved and cherished by so many. We would like to thank the Wonderful ladies from Custom Care Home Health and Hospice, for the loving care and kindness they gave Sharon and our family; they were wonderful.
