Shefiudeen Savage “Savage” died peacefully in Dallas, TX at the ag of 71. He is survived by his mother Florence Mudupe Williams in Lagos, Nigeria, children: Torri Roland, Tera Dorcas Savage, Shefiudeen Alade Savage II and Ariel Rukayat Savage. 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. His remaining siblings include Madam Shade Savage, Mrs. Funke Odusanya, L/E Bukola Williams, Ms. Kemi Williams and Mrs. Bunmi Oguntade. He was also survived by 14 other siblings. He is preceded in death by his father Abdul Raheem Savage and 4 brothers and sisters.
Savage was born on June 6, 1949 in Lagos, Nigeria to Abdul Savage and Florence Williams. He went to Ansaru-Deen Primary (elementary) school, Ansaru-Deen Commercial/Secondary (high) School and came to the United States on January 5, 1975 to continue his education. He obtained a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University in 1981. He met Towanda Savage, whom he married, and was blessed with 4 children. His children, family and friends remember him as being a nurturer, a teacher, a gentle, kind, joyous and lover of God type of man who always put his children first. He was the type of father any child would love to have, the type of brother most wish to have, the uncle you can count to on for guidance and the type of son who loved and respected his parents.
Savage was accomplished in his field of business management overseeing multiple restaurants; he has a past work history including being a security officer, a car salesman and an insurance broker. He was a witty, generous and dedicated individual who loved lecturing about the importance of education, respect and tradition. He was an active member of Christ Apolostic Church and was a member of the Eko Club.
