

She is preceded, in death, by her parents Leon and Louise Myers and her beloved pet, Little Paws.
She is survived by her fiancé, John Vallala and her children, Robert Hensley, Jr. and Jan, Kenneth Hensley, Katie Hensley and Steve, and Debbie Rogers and Scott.
She is the forever, doting Grandmother, which they called, "Pepi" to Sara Hensley, Jane Hensley, Todd Hensley, Malori Mordecai, Randy Rogers and Rennie Rogers.
She is the loving sister to Linda Duncan, Bruce Myers and Leon Myers. She also, has an extended family that love her and will miss her dearly.
She was a devoted member of Saint Rita's Catholic Church.
She was an outrageously avid fan and season ticket holder of the Dallas Mavericks. She was a talented artist, and her hobbies included gardening, travel and shopping. Some of her many accomplishments were home builder, realtor, interior designer, former school board president of the Red Oak ISD, helped start the Oak Cliff Soccer Association, and a coached and supported youth sports groups. She was also a member of the American Junior Brahman Association.
She had a passion for history and enjoyed researching her family lineage. For enjoyment, she, loved fishing and relaxing at the beach with a good book. She was a proud member of the Republican Party and contributed to many GOP campaigns. She was a very gracious benefactor to many charitable organizations/groups and gave scholarships to many deserving students.
She was so excited about the engagement and upcoming marriage to her beloved, John.
Sherry was a free spirit, yet she was deeply rooted in her love of family, friends and religion. Although she left us too soon, sweet memories will live forever in the hearts she left behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the following:
American Stroke Association, American Junior Brahman Association, Paws in the City and Children's Hospital of Dallas.
