Sheryl Ann Harris

Sheryl Ann Harris, 54, of Dallas, Texas passed away at Parkland Hospital in Dallas on December 26, 2015 following a lengthy illness. Sheryl was born on April 18, 1961 to Annette and Robert Harris, Jr. in Dallas. She grew up in the Lake Highlands neighborhood, and graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1979, later attending Stephen F. Austin State University.Sheryl will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, and daughter. She was active in supporting organizations at school, Boy Scouts and church. She is survived by her son, Robert, brothers Ray Harris and wife Linda of Dallas and Vernon Harris and wife Ingrid of Houston, and numerous cousins. She was especially proud of her son and his involvement with the Lake Highlands High School band and cross country teams, and with Boy Scouts.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her son Robert’s college fund: Bank of Texas, Att.:Roy, 6701 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX 75205, or to a charity of choice. An organization that works with the goal to improve the quality of life of individuals living with rare neuro-immune disorders, such as Transverse Myelitis, is the Transverse Myelitis Association.
