Shiela Vanette Hill

Sheila Hill, a loving wife, mother and cherished grandmother passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on January 5, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, Sheila was the beloved daughter of Addie Mae Jenkins and Odis Jenkins.

A proud Dallas native, Sheila graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1968. She went on to pursue her passion for the creative arts, building a career as a talented seamstress and children’s furniture designer. Her eye for beauty and detail extended beyond her work—Sheila was known for her vibrant, warm home and her unforgettable Christmas decorations that brought joy to family and friends year after year.

For many years, she joyfully hosted family gatherings filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. Affectionately known as “Memaw” by her beloved grandchildren, Sheila leaves behind a legacy of love.

Sheila was a faithful and proud member of Concord Church in Dallas, Texas, where she found community and strength in her faith.

She is preceded in death by her sister Alicia Moore; her aunt Dorothy Lewis; her mother, Addie Mae Jenkins; her grandmother, Emma Roach; her grandson Donovan Hill and her father, Odis Jenkins.

Sheila’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband, Randy; her children Derrick Deon, Delonda Denise, and Derandon; her grandchildren; her great-granddaughter; her two sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Her life was a tapestry of creativity and love—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A visitation for Shiela will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Singing Hills Funeral Home, 6221 UNIVERSITY HILLS BLVD, DALLAS, TX 75241. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Concord Church, 6808 Pastor Bailey Dr, Dallas, TX 75237. A committal will occur Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Laurel Land Mem Park - Dallas, 6300 S. R.L. Thornton Frwy., Dallas, TX 75232.
