자매님 was there for me when I lost my mom. Thinking about how she always squeezed my hand tightly and gave me hugs throughout the years, I now realize how she helped me to understand that I was never alone. I feel that she was a woman who truly knew life's pain, and of course great happiness, most especially through her surviving children Clair, Richard, and Juliette who, it must be repeated and remembered, are her pride and joy. I am deeply saddened by their unspeakable loss. May God grant her precious soul rest and abiding peace to her beloved family now and forever.

My daughter Lizzy and Soin’s daughter Clair have been best friends since middle school. They were like sisters growing up together. Lizzy loved spending time with Clair’s family and often spoke about how special Umma was. She was sweet, kind, and worked so hard for her family. I will never forget how beautiful, happy, and proud she was at Clair’s wedding. Below is a photo from Clair’s wedding shower.
