Sue Siddons DuVall, age 83, of Dallas, Texas, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Sue was born on September 16, 1942, in Shreveport, Louisiana, where her father was stationed as an Army doctor during World War II. She grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from Paschal High School in 1960. Sue later attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
In 1962, Sue married David Fair and moved to Dallas, where they raised their two children. Sue and David were married for 25 years. During her early marriage years, Sue worked in marketing at Hexter-Fair Title Company, as a secretary at the Dallas Apparel Mart, and later at IBM. While she enjoyed her professional roles, Sue was most fulfilled as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Sue married J. Kyle “Tony” DuVall in 1988, and they shared eight happy years together until his passing. During that time, they lived in both Dallas and Santa Fe, New Mexico, where Sue built two homes and developed a deep love for the area. She later married Joe Oscar Neuhoff, with whom she spent 14 years living on their ranch in Palmer, Texas, raising cattle and cutting horses.
A gifted creative, Sue loved to write music and poetry. She wrote a Christmas opera titled Just a Mouse, which was performed by children at University Park United Methodist Church, where she also sang in the choir. Sue also professionally recorded two albums, Just a Mouse and Rosie the Ranch Dog, accomplishments she treasured deeply.
Sue had a lifelong love of animals, especially her beloved rescue dog, Dottie, whom she adopted from Operation Kindness. She often shared fond stories of growing up in a household that included her brother George’s nine-foot boa constrictor, joking that her mother must have been a saint.
Most recently, Sue made her home at The Edgemere in Dallas, where she formed many close friendships and thoroughly enjoyed her dinner group, social committee activities, and the fun and laughter of community life. She was a member of Dallas Country Club and was an active member all of her churches in Dallas, Santa Fe and Palmer, where she enjoyed singing in the choirs and volunteering in various ways. She was a Lifetime Benefactor of Children’s Medical Center Foundation and a faithful supporter of UT Southwestern Medical Center, North Texas Food Bank and Operation Kindness.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Ellen Fair Terrell, and her husband, Charlie Terrell, Jr.; her son, Britt Fair, and his wife, Sue Fair; her six grandchildren, Charlie Terrell III, Will Terrell, Ryan Brady, Jackson Fair, Olivia Fair, and Tori Fair; her brother, Dr. George Y. Siddons, Jr., and sister-in-law, Bonnie Siddons; her nieces, Anne Marie Siddons Goodwin and husband Chris Goodwin, and Pamela Siddons Hughes and husband John Hughes; her step-daughter, Diane DuVall; Diane’s children, Ryan Rogers, Blake Rogers and his wife Haley Rogers; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who were very close to her and will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Dr. George Y. Siddons of Fort Worth, Texas, and her aforementioned husbands David Fair, J. Kyle “Tony” DuVall and Joe Oscar Neuhoff.
Sue will be remembered for her creativity, warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her life was rich with music, laughter, adventure, and deep connections, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure. Most importantly, Sue was a strong believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is with Him now for eternity.
A memorial service will be held at Highland Park United Methodist Church, 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75205, on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 10:00am. Reception immediately following the service in Fellowship Hall.
