Sye Alonzo Lauderdale IV

Sye Alonzo Lauderdale IV (Fourthy), beloved brother, father, grandfather and friend was born July 18, 1963, in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of the late Vertie P. Lauderdale and Sye Alonzo Lauderdale III.

He attended St. Anthony Catholic School and John XXII before graduating from David W. Cater High school in 1981 where he was active in the JROTC program

A few years after graduation he joined the Army and served honorably until retirement. Sye was station across the country and in Germany.

He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, talking, dancing, and playing cards. He also loved all sports and was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan. Fourthy never met a stranger.

His Mother Vertie and younger brother Joseph Lauderdale preceded him in death.

Those left to mourn his passing father Sye A. Lauderdale III, brothers Stephen Rooks and his wife Ashley, and Jarian Lauderdale. His sisters Jacquelyne (Jackie) Hutchins and her husband Larry, Lavala Muhammad, Dwaina Brooks, and Crystal Brooks. Children DeMarcus Woods, Terrell Wiggins Sr., Keiyawna Taylor, Sye Alonzo Lauderdale V, TeShaun Lauderdale and Ashauna Turner.

13 Grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
