TC Knight was born on March 20, 1928, in Dallas, Texas to Sidney Harrison Knight and Margie Mae Parker. He passed into the loving arms of his Lord on March 9, 2017 to be reunited with the love of his life, Reva Estel Holson Knight. TC graduated from Crozier Tech High School class of 1946, briefly attended SMU, worked for the T&P railroad, enlisted in the US Army during the Korean Conflict before returning to Dallas to start a long career in the trucking and security industries.
TC was a lifelong Baptist, and along with Reva, a children’s Sunday School Teacher. Their commitment to children’s ministry encouraged their daughters to likewise serve in children’s ministry. TC loved Highland Park High School football and spent many a night with his father-in-law working the score board at Highlander Stadium before they were computerized. His proudest moments came upon his girls’ graduation from HPHS, and Baylor University with Bachelor and Graduate degrees.
TC and Reva traveled extensively before Reva and Neva were born and then every summer after that. He would load up the car and the family would take road trips across America following him as he worked in the trucking industry. After his granddaughters were born he and Reva traveled with the family enjoying trips including Disney World, Maine, Coronado Island, and Canada. They especially enjoyed an extended trip to London staying at the beautiful Grosvenor House. He also enjoyed his final “big” trip to Alaska via cruise ship and rail with his family.
Family was of utmost importance to him. He loved his nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandsons.
He is predeceased in death by his beloved wife, Reva to whom he was married for 58 years, his parents, infant brother, and brother, Robert. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Reva Knight Henderson and Neva Knight of whom he could not have been more proud; Reva’s husband, John and the lights of his later years, Neva Lynne Henderson and Reva Anne Henderson, whom he credited with bringing him such joy and comfort; Michael Henderson, his wife, Karen and their sons, high-fiving Jones and fist-bumping Walter; sisters-in-law, Neva Yoder, Tommie Deaver and Jo Ann Holson; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
