

With heavy hearts and profound faith, we announce the passing of our beloved Teresa “Mami” Saldaña, who entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas. Born on April 16, 1929, in Del Rio, Texas, to Manuel Perez and Marcelina Aguilar.
Her family later planted their roots in Dallas, Texas, where Teresa raised her four children.
Teresa’s life was a testament to strength, grace, and dedication. A hardworking woman, she spent many years of service at Sweetheart Cups Company, providing for her family. In the 1970s, as a single mother to her four children, she married Adan Saldaña.
Teresa was a woman of remarkable faith, finding her greatest joy in the company of family and close friends, and her trust in the Lord. She was a devoted member for many years of a cherished church in her Oak Cliff neighborhood, where she found strength and community in her faith. Teresa had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and a heart of gold that will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Manuel Perez and Marcelina Aguilar; beloved husband, Adan Saldaña; daughter, Rosario Avila; daughter-in-law, Dolores Peña; granddaughter, Teresa Ramirez; and great-grandson, Caesar Demetrius Avila Jr.; sisters,Guadalupe Perez Munoz, and Margarita Perez; brothers, Joaquin Aguilar Perez, Guillermo Aguilar Perez, and Gustavo Aguilar Perez. She is survived by her son, Robert Peña; daughters, Anna Garcia and Teresa Salinas; Her legacy continues through her 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, and her beloved sister, Manuela Robles, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
Teresa’s warmth and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her love and legacy remain. May she rest in eternal peace in the presence of the Lord.
Join the family in remembering and celebrating the life of Teresa “Mami”. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220.
A funeral service on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 1 p.m. Committal will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery with a reception to follow at Templo Del Dios Viviente, 3808 West Clarendon Drive, Dallas, TX 75211.
