I served with Terry in Wuerzburg, Germany in 1968. Terry was a true gentlemen, mentor, and friend. Terry taught me how to prepare the nightly messages with the initials of our short timer buddies rotating back to the states. These messages dedicated to our short timer buddies would drive the officers crazy. Rest In Peace good buddy.

Dear Linda and Family, Please accept my condolences for your loss. Terry was my Cousin and I just learned of what had happened when I spoke to Terry's cousin and mine, Barbara Hurford, in Roswell, NM over the telephone after learning that she had lost her husband on June 25th. My work involves constant travel and I apologize for not attending the service or making an entry in the Guest Book sooner. I had not spoken to Terry in many years but I will always remember all the wonderful Cullender family photos he had and the times he visited Roswell, attended Cullender family reunions, etc.. I was particularly impressed with his knowledge of our family history and my late father, his Uncle "Harvey," always thought very highly of him. I am so glad to see all the photos and the video at this web site documenting the wonderful life he had. In the end, it is all that any of us can hope for-a wonderful life shared with those that love us-and it's quite clear that had that. If there is anything that I can do to be of assistance at this difficult time, please don't hesitate to contact me. Once again, my condolences.

Terry was a terrific mentor and teacher and special friend to so many. He eagerly shared his love for learning - music, literature, history, art, nature, firearms, science. He was uncompromising in his convictions and dedication to his family and friends. He taught me so much about parenting, sharing and loving. His legacy will surely continue throughout the lives of those who knew him. Prayers continue for you and yours.

Dear Linda,
Terry was (Oh, I can't believe I'm using past tense) an unusually kind person who demonstrated a noble sense of fairness and decency. He constantly surprised me with his creative ideas, skills and talent at work. He was a good friend whose constant words of encouragement, enthusiasm and support I will always treasure.

We always had interesting conversations and found much to agree on, even if coming from different political persuasions, and never got angry with each other for our differences. I will always remember and appreciate those civilized conversations.

I am so glad the three of us got the opportunity to create some wonderful memories touring Europe together. I share your grief and send you and the entire family my warmest thoughts and condolences.

Terry was an excellent friend and family man. He made all who knew him feel special and appreciated. He and Linda raised children that they were very proud of, and have done very well in their lives. Terry's children and grandchildren are just like him. they love life and the outdoors. Terry will be missed greatly.

Mrs. Cullender, we are sorry for your loss. Terry was so welcoming to all who came to the GPGC, and I know Keith and he were able to talk about difficult things, man to man.
