Mr. Terry Lee Watkins

Terry Lee Watkins, 70 of Bentonville Arkansas, passed away on December 21, 2020. Terry graduated from South Senior High in Wichita Kansas in 1968. He moved to Irving Texas and worked for the City of Dallas for 32 years. In his spare time, he loved being outdoors watching and admiring wildlife, spending time with family, volunteering at the food pantry and attending his grandchildren’s sports activities.

Terry was a kind and loving husband to his wife Glenda of 43 years. An amazing father to their 3 children Kirsten, Rodney and Wendy. Being a part of their lives was extremely important to him. When his children were younger, he helped coach Kirsten’s softball and Rodney’s soccer teams. He was always the loudest parent in the stands cheering on Wendy during her dance and cheer competitions.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Watkins; his 3 children, Kirsten Batson and her husband Brent, Rodney Watkins and his wife Susan, Wendy Todd and her husband Shane; 8 grandchildren, Jordan Batson and his wife Megan, Breanne MacNaughton and her husband Robbie, Jace Batson, Brittany Watkins, Hunter Watkins, Grant Watkins, Grayson Todd and Jaxson Todd; 4 great grandchildren, Brynn Batson, Andrew Cox, Crew Cox and Everly Watkins; two sisters, Robyn Walsh and her husband Perry and Jill Watkins; his nieces and nephew, Patrick Walsh and his wife Amanda, Sarah Brown and her husband David and Haley Farmer and her husband Clayton.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father Shirley and Vernon Watkins; brother Roger Watkins; niece Melissa Gay and grandson Andrew W.

A visitation for Terry was held Friday, January 8, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232.
