Theodore Willard De Freitas

Theodore Willard De Freitas, age 91, passed away on February 12, 2025 in Frisco, Texas. He was born on August 25, 1933 in Port of Spain, Trinidad W.I. to Theo and Yetive De Freitas. Willard was raised in Port of Spain, Trinidad W.I. and graduated from University of Rhode Island in 1959.

He married Evelyn Gomez in 1960 and the couple had four children. He was a Civil Engineer at Fishbach and Moore, Inti where he worked for more than 30 years.

In his spare time, Willard, enjoyed walking, reading, gardening, taking pictures, traveling, watching the Texas Rangers baseball games, world soccer games and cricket matches, and overall spending time with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His family and friends will always remember him as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. As someone who was always willing to help. He was a good friend to neighbors and travel companions.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Yetive De Freitas.

He is survived by: his sister, Marlene Bounds; daughter, Gisele Sloan with husband, Randy Sloan; son, Paul De Freitas with wife, Jill De Freitas and ex-wife, Melissa De Freitas; son, Robert De Freitas; daughter, Lisa Mullings with husband, Greg Mullings; grandchildren, Erica Mumford with husband, Thomas Mumford, Jake Sloan, Logan De Freitas, Dylan De Freitas, Laura De Freitas, Ami Shelton with husband, Cody Shelton, Matt De Freitas with wife, Ary De Freitas, Kaitlin De Freitas, Kyle De Freitas, Blake De Freitas, Amanda Hance with husband, Joey Hance, Taylor Mullings with wife Jacy Mullings, Claire Mullings and Hunter Mullings; great grandchildren, Theodore "Teddy" Mumford, Phoenix De Freitas, Tristan Shelton, Brylie Shelton, Finley Shelton, Adelaide Hance, Grace Hance, Harrison Hance, Finley Hance, and Sophie Mullings.
