Thomas Patrick Lynch, 68, Dallas, TX, died at his home on Monday, May 8, 2023, after a brief and intense battle with liver and large cell neuro endocrine cancer. At time of his death, Tom was a Partner/Financial Advisor with Trinity Strategy Partners, affiliated with Sunbelt Securities of Houston, Texas. Tom specialized in trading stocks, exchange traded funds, option strategies and IRA rollovers. Throughout his nearly forty-year career, Tom earned numerous Top Producers awards and was a three-time Irish America Magazine Wall Street 50 honoree.
The motto on the Lynch family Coat of Arms is Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful). Tom's life epitomized that motto. He was a strong Catholic who attended Mass and received the Sacrament of Reconciliation at St. Jude Chapel, Dallas, Texas. That faith prompted him to teach himself Latin so he could pray in the traditional language of the Church. Every morning Tom watched the Mass and rosary recitation on EWTN. Tom's faith and pride in his Irish heritage prompted him and his wife, Donna, to be active in the Project Children program. The program brought children from Northern Ireland to the United States during summer months to provide a respite from the tensions they experienced in their homeland. Tom was also a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
Tom loved his family and friends dearly. Tom and Donna created a loving blended family with Tom's son Ryan and Donna's daughter Kathryn. Tom cherished his grandchildren, Maiella Joy Lynch, Liam Patrick Lynch, Arin Atlas Olmos, and Archer Athens Olmos. Nothing gave him greater pleasure than watching Maiella and Liam play soccer or watching all four playing together in the backyard, especially with the water guns he bought them.
Tom maintained numerous childhood friends throughout his life. Friendships forged in high school and centered around the love of sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and the Dallas Stars Hockey Club.
Tom is survived by his wife Donna, his son Ryan Patrick Lynch, daughter-in-law Maeben Joy Lynch, granddaughter Maiella Joy Lynch, grandson Liam Patrick Lynch, daughter Kathryn Lois Olmos, son-in-law, Thomas Anthony Olmos, grandson Arin Atlas Olmos, and grandson Archer Athens Olmos, and brother Timothy James Lynch.
Tom is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Ms. Jeannine Medart of Harris Hospice and Fr. Stephen Bierschenk of St. Jude Chapel for their efforts in attending to Tom's physical and spiritual needs. A visitation will be held 6-9pm Thursday, 6/22/2023, with a reception at 6pm. Memorial Mass will be held 2pm Friday, 6/23/2023, at St Jude Catholic Church with temporary inurnment following at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
