Thomas Walthall Jr.

He was born March 10, 1929 to Thomas, Sr., and Ola Walthall. In February1953, he married Jean Davis and they raised five sons: Steve, Larry, David, Gary, and Randy; and one daughter, Susan.

Thomas worked in the Air Conditioning industry as a Service Manager for Dring Engineering for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and later in life took on a love/hate relationship with golf. But his pride and joy was his family.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jean, and his brother Jimmy.

Thomas is survived by his sons Steve Walthall, David Walthall, Gary Walthall, Randy Walthall, all of Mesquite, Larry Walthall and wife Stacey of Royse City, and daughter Susan Luttrell of Red Oak; his brother Billy Walthall of Mesquite ; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Visitation will take place on the evening of February 21, 2020 at Grove Hill Funeral Home between 6:00 and 8:00PM. A celebration of life will take place on the afternoon of February 22, 2020 at Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00PM with a committal service to follow in Grove Hill Memorial Park.
