Thomas James Wilson Jr.

Thomas J. Wilson Jr was born on December 15, 1935 to the parentage of Thomas J. Wilson Sr. and Della Mae Wilson in Leonard, TX. They moved to Paris, TX as a young boy. After graduating high school Thomas joined the Navy where he served as Jr. Aviation Engineer 1954-1958. He was in the reserves 1959-1960. Later he began working at Olmstead Kirk Paper Company.

He proudly worked for 38 years and retired.

He married Carol Wilson June 14, 1969. They both became members of Salem Institutional Baptist Church. He served as a dedicated deacon for many years.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Della Mae Wilson and son Thomas J. Wilson III.

Thomas leaves to cherish his brother Tommy Wilson and sister Debra. His loving wife Carol and their daughters Reeta Braggs, Carla Kennedy, and Tonya Wilson. Grandchildren – LaTonya(Keith), Tracie(Roberto), Timothy(Sarah), Bryant, Reggie, Gregory(Tiffany), Christian(Shunta), Darius, Desmond, Diamond, and David. Host of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232, on July 15, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232, on July 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Committal will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211, on July 16, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:15 pm.
