On November 1, 1959, Timmie Lee Hodges Jr. was born as the first child to the late Timmie Lee Hodges Sr. and Betty Jackson Hodges in Dallas, Texas. Timmie grew up in the Dallas area, where he received his formal education through the Dallas Independent School District, graduating from Justin F. Kimball High School.
Timmie’s spiritual journey began early in life. He, along with his parents and siblings, attended New Birth Baptist Church in Dallas, where he professed his faith in God and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Timmie was a dedicated family man who poured love, wisdom, and strong values into his children. He emphasized the importance of doing right by others, being independent, and always putting God first. Alongside his role as a father, Timmie had a passion for activities such as basketball, dominoes, and bowling. He was known for his entertaining spirit, often inviting family and friends to his home for joyous gatherings.
In 1997, Timmie was introduced to Lucine Robertson through his son Dimerie. Their bond grew over the years, and they married in 2005, later welcoming their son, Treveon, into the world. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and devotion. Timmie was admired as a hardworking husband, father, pawpaw, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the age of 65, Timmie peacefully transitioned from this life, surrounded by his family, to be with his Heavenly Father for eternity. He was preceded in death by his father, Timmie Lee Hodges Sr.
