

Tim deeply loved his family and friends and was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. Many of Tim’s family and friends have expressed how much Tim meant to them. Some quotes from Tim's friends are as follows: “there is a loss in the world, your big heart touched so many people.. mine included”, “Tim was such a sweet, kind and dear person”, “You were there for me when I lost everything, and now I am here when God has called you home", “Tim was one of the nicest guys I ever met”, “Your kindness, generosity, good nature and zest for life will live in my heart forever".
Tim was born January 15, 1971, Lubbock, Texas. He grew up in Conroe, Texas, and graduated from Oak Ridge High School. He attended Texas Tech and Sam Houston State University and worked as an IT professional. For many years he worked at Hope Hospice New Braunfels, was co-owner of Bratcher and Associates and was currently working at UT Southwestern Medical Center in cardiac research. He was a board member of Gulf Coast Archive and Museum of GLBT History in Houston. The museum collects and preserves history of the Gay Rights Movement. He was also a member of the Empire of the Royal Sovereign and Imperial Court of the Single Star, for which he helped raise money for HIV/AIDS and LGBT youth. Tim was an active participant in various other civic activities supporting the LGBT community and was on the Board of Tucker’s Gift, an organization that helps AIDs patients care for their pets.
Tim was preceded in death by his extraordinary great-grandmother, Thelma Goddard, his grandparents, Albert and Rita Davis, Mary and Claudell Bratcher and his dear best friend, Mark Steckly.
He is survived by his parents, Burt Bratcher, Rosalyn Maxwell and stepfather, Jimmie Maxwell, his sister Tara Key and husband Scott, his nephews, Noah, Jonah and Micah Key. He is also survived by his uncles and aunts, Glenn and Nancy Davis, Larry and Pattie Bratcher and cousins Hal Davis (Lisa), Josh Davis (Robin), Abby Isabelle (Jason) Bob Bratcher (Sonja), Elizabeth James (Steven) and Heather Belle Smith (Jay). His very loved dog, Mojo also survives him. There was not a stronger connection between man and dog than that shared by Tim and Mojo.
Visitation is Friday, March 30, from 6-8pm at Sparkman-Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX.
A celebration of Tim’s life is scheduled for 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 31, at Sparkman-Hillcrest Chapel, with a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim’s name may be made to Tucker’s Gift, Hope Hospice New Braunfels, Gulf Coast Archive and Museum of LGBT History in Houston, or Turtle Creek Chorale .
