He was educated in the Dallas Independent School District.
He is survived by: Father Willie T. Simpson, One brother Allen Bruce, three sisters Michelle Simpson, Stephanie Johnson, and Betty Heard.
Four sons Markee Armstrong, Dominic Barrance, Christopher Simpson, Troy Simpson, Two daughters Shalanda Clerkley and Ashley Simpson; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
